Beauregard, oil on canvas, 7"x9". For sale on etsy.
Introducing Beauregard the little porcelain bunny. Up until recently, I would have preferred a real bunny, but due to something that I like to call 'The Bunny Wars', I'm on the fence with how I feel about rabbits. Shortly before Christmas I discovered that we have a bunny living in our backyard behind the shed. It was actually Finnegan that discovered it, and immediately flew into a rage. There was barking and plenty of chasing, only to have the bunny escape through a tiny crack in the fence. Who knew that a King Charles Spaniel would be a bunny hunter? I thought they just went after Cornish game hen and the odd grouse. Now the bunny is all he thinks about. If he's not chasing it, he's wanting to get outside and chase it, and if it's not there, he settles for eating it's...ahem... droppings. This is not good. Now every evening I have to play referee and monitor Finnegan to make sure things don't get out of hand. It's not a great way to spend an evening.

Nightshade, oil on canvas, 10"x10". Sold.
Truth be told, there is is no actual nightshade in this painting. I suppose it's the starry wallpaper background that led to the title of the painting. At least I think that's wallpaper. See, I don't even understand what I paint.

White Tiger Tea, oil on canvas, 8"x10". Sold.
The Feline And The Fox, 10"x12", oil on canvas. Sold.
Gosh, it was hard to get a decent shot of this one. We've had dark skies and rain for two days and light seems quite scarce. I'll have to re-shoot it for prints on a brighter day. Hopefully this might perk up those who are under this crazy cloud along with most of Ontario. Snow is better than this I think. I don't know about you but I could certainly put on my party dress and start swilling the champagne and popping back the macaroons. Time to get into some sort of party mode!

A Wild Bunch, oil on canvas, 11"x14". For sale on etsy.
A wild bunch indeed. Did I go a little crazy with the critters? Perhaps a bit. But the Dutch masters were fond of the critters as well, so there's really no point in holding back.
And speaking of crazy, that's pretty much my state of mind as I sit here typing this while still wearing my pajamas- having yet to make it into the shower today and it's 1pm. I'm wading through all of the Black Friday orders......looks like I know where I will be these next few days: Tied to my printer...still in my pajamas possibly. But I'm not complaining as it keeps me out of trouble.
