Grace Kelly in Hitchcock’s ‘To Catch A Thief’

Spring!

Aside from the wheezing and sneezing allergies which I just love, I thought it would be fun to share a few things that remind me of spring.  Pink peekaboo shoes, feathers, bunnies, vintage silk scarves likely need no explanation.  Richard Yates' book 'The Easter Parade' seems fitting considering the springlike title, and it's a wonderful book.  If you are unfamiliar with Yates, think 'Revolutionary Road'.  Great book and a great film (in my opinion).  Lastly, the film still of Grace Kelly might throw you, but it goes back to when I was in Grade 11 and my English teacher who was a big Hitchcock fan showed us several of his films one spring semester. He was one cool teacher. Now, I can't separate spring from craving Hitchcock films.  Likely not a bad thing, although perhaps an odd thing.

Trivia Time!  And the prize is a free print of the winner's choice (includes shipping) from my etsy shop or special order to the first person who leaves a comment on my blog with the correct answer.

The Question: Name the movie or the book (there's a big hint) where one of the main characters gives another character a red petticoat 'so stiff that it would stand by itself and so rustly that the Lord would think it was made of angels' wings'.

Now we'll see if anyone actually reads my little posts.....!
