Tabatha’s Triple Scoop

Tabatha's Triple Scoop, oil on canvas, 11"x14". For sale on etsy.

There's something quite peculiar about this painting. Maybe it's Tabatha's uncomfortable looking pose- she looks as if her boyfriend is taking a photo of her and she's a little awkward in front of the camera. I usually get so flustered when a photo is being taken of me that I turn my hand into a claw and give myself a double chin. Attractive. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAINTING ON ETSY.

Fan Ladies

Fan Ladies, oil on canvas,12"x16". For sale on etsy.

I had a few 'issues' with this one tonight. It's not a good photo-mainly because the light is changing, and the usual spot where I photograph from is getting pretty dark a lot earlier. So I'll retake the photo tomorrow in proper daylight. There's a lot more detail, and it's not quite as dark (or grainy) as in the photo. Oh well. Oh, and I'm not exactly slacking lately, I know that I've only been posting singles nightly, it's just that for some reason, my latest paintings are requiring more work, so there may be a surprise post on Thursday. Lobsters And Lemons

Lobsters And Lemons, 11"x14".Sold.

This evening I was in the grocery store and I couldn't help but stop and stare at the poor lobsters in the fish tank. For a moment, I felt a little badly for them, but then I quickly remembered how yummy they are, especially when served up with lemon and butter.

Happy Birthday Mom!

I actually organized a surprise birthday party for my mother this weekend- yes...I'm such a good daughter...I think my mother was actually surprised- although she was aware that something was going on, but didn't quite put the pieces together. It was small, but elegant, thanks to Langdon Hall (beautiful country hotel in Cambridge, Ontario). We had a great time, although next year, I think she's expecting something even bigger like going to the Toronto Film Festival, staying in a suite at the Four Seasons, and meeting George Clooney. Crazy lady!

Midnight Margaritas

Midnight Margaritas, oil on canvas, 11"x14". Sold.

There's a little glare on this- that's the trouble with darker backgrounds. The background colour is more of a deep indigo blue, not black. Puts me in the mood for a margarita!
