Heel To Toe

Heel To Toe, oil on canvas, 9"x12". Sold.

It's been a while since I've done a shoe painting...so I felt the time had come. I had a pang of sadness today as I was walking my dog and I realized that soon I would have to retire my sandals and ballet flats and break open my boots. Autumn is pretty much here in Ontario. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAINTING ON ETSY.

The Scarlet Peacock

Interview at The Scarlet Peacock

I had a fun interview with Rose over at 'The Scarlet Peacock' blog. Feel free to check out the interview and her lovely blog (she has a great eye for beautiful things). Rose had some very creative questions, like if my etsy shop were a song, what song would it be? Fun stuff like that.

The Bake Off

The Bake Off, oil on canvas, 11"x14". Sold.

I thought I would head into the weekend on a sweet note. I just wanted to mention that over the next week or so, I won't be producing as many original paintings because I'm working on some paintings that will be turned into cards for a fine art card publisher. At the moment, my head is full of Christmasy things like eggnog and tinsel, which is kind of weird given that the leaves have barely started to fall. So, I'm not really slacking off, just enjoying Christmas in September. I will still get some originals in my etsy store next week, so please keep an eye out on my regular posting days.

Giclee Prints- Finally!

It's taken me quite awhile, but I finally had some giclee prints done of some of my paintings. A giclee print is a fine art print done on heavyweight matte paper (a watercolor type paper). I only had a few ordered in 5x7 just to check out the quality, and let me just say, my jaw dropped. These are stunning. And I can't even take any of the credit for them, since they are outsourced to a fine art printing company. They look like actual paintings, like full blown richly colored watercolors. They are more expensive than my regular digital prints, but they fill the gap between the original painting and my affordable digital prints. They have the little lines on the borders in case you wish to have them professionally framed/matted, or if you're like me, I would just buy a regular frame and plunk it in. They will be titled, signed, and dated on the front in pencil and as I mentioned, I only have a few, but I will put them into my etsy shop later today and I will be ordering more over the next couple of weeks.
