Miss New Years, oil on canvas, 8″x10″. SOLD.
I know that a lot of people don’t particularly enjoy New Years, but I love it. I love getting dressed up and going out for dinner or to a party and annoying everyone by going crazy with those silly little noisemakers and I’m particularly fond of those stupid hats. Of course, I enjoy any excuse for a party. On that note, I’ll be taking the next two days off (one to prepare, the other to recover) and i’ll post again on January 2. I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years!
White Wing Chairs, oil on canvas, 8″x8″. SOLD.
I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas! I wish I had another week off, but the urge has struck again.
I should mention that I was thrilled when my husband gave me an amazing sketch/painting by Gretchen Kelly. If you haven’t visited her site please do, the link is on the left sidebar. Thank you Gretchen! I adore it and I’m running off to the framer next week to get it framed. My other favourite gift was an Egyptian Cotton duvet and sheet set. Ohhhh, so nice and luxurious. I may never get out of bed.
I was being overly ambitious when I said that I would have a painting for today. Over the past few days when I wasn’t eating, I was either napping or reading the latest Candace Bushnell novel. So nothing has been accomplished, but I’m fairly certain I will pull myself out of my laziness and post something for tomorrow. In the meantime, I’ve posted a picture of my Christmas ornaments.
