Babette’s Green Dress, oil on canvas, 5″x7″.SOLD.

I was inspired by the European femme fatales and bombshells of the 1950′s-1960′s for this particular painting. I had in mind Claudia Cardinale or Sophia Loren, although my husband (the expert in movies of that vintage) claims she looks nothing like Claudia, so I’m calling her Babette. I’m wondering if I should have made her hair a little bigger, possibly more beehive, but perhaps restraint is best.
