Making A Pear Pie, oil on canvas, 8″x10″. SOLD.
I love my husband very much. In fact, I’m crazy about him (6 months married), but………….he doesn’t eat cooked fruit. Actually, now that I think about it, he won’t eat fresh fruit either. He despises fruit, and I can only assume that he had some kind of accident with an apple to cause such a hatred. However, he makes an exception for grapes- in wine. Expensive wine. Anyway, to make a long story short, he won’t eat my pear crostata and this upsets me because it’s one of the best things that I bake and he won’t eat it. This could lead to divorce. If this painting doesn’t sell, I’m keeping it, and I’m hanging it in our kitchen so he is reminded everyday of my baking sacrifice.

The Italian Mirror, 8″x10″, oil on canvas. SOLD.
There’s something about this painting that makes me want to jump on a plane and fly to Venice and hunt down that mirror. That is saying something considering my terrible fear of flying. However, after a few vodka tonics I turn into a pretty brave girl.
