I thought I would list one of my figurative pieces on ebay. I’m preparing for a show on December 8th and seem to be getting a number of requests from my buyers about showing my ‘lady paintings’ so I thought I would carry that theme through to my ebay listing tonight. It’s got a Sargent vibe- I think, of course most of my lady pieces do. Who doesn’t love paintings of swirly ball gowns, big hair, and dark shadows?

A little unusual painting, quite quirky and a little dark.
I love red shoes, likely because of the cinematic folklore associated with them from the Wizard Of Oz to the 1948 British Classic ‘The Red Shoes’.
There just seems to be something quite sweet and precious about these shoes but at the same time a little menacing as they lurk in the shadows of this closet.
