William Cleary Of The San Francisco Clearys Always Smelled Like Pipe Tobacco, Sandalwood Soap, And Of The Moment Right Before A Summer Storm.   Oil On Canvas, 8″x10″.  Sold.

I was in the mood for something brushy and sketchy today- and I felt like portraying smoking as an attractive thing to do- just like how it was in the good ol’ days.  But please, don’t start smoking a pipe because of this painting.

  1. I love this! My husband smokes a pipe on occasion and I love that smell. Reminds me of my grandfather’s best friend – fond memories. I might need this.
