The Houseguest

The Houseguest-sl

The Houseguest, 11″x14″, oil on canvas.  Sold.

I just felt like embellishing the idea of a cat lady.  Although, something about her seems a little less than pleased with having to wait on him hand and foot.

  1. Hilarious! The lion is so realistic, and I love his superior attitude. I’ve really missed some good ones recently.

  2. Just like a guy to throw the pillows onto the floor! In fact, do you see the way she’s holding her hand? She’s about to point and say, “Pick those up right now!” And he’ll do it too!

    Love it, Janet

    • Exactly. She’s likely pointing at him to pick up the pillows, or not to get any crumbs on her carpet, or to drink his milk- even though he doesn’t have opposable thumbs.

  4. She may be giving him the what for, but he’s totally ignoring her. “Lalala, can’t hear you.” Cats of all sizes have mastered this ability. Mine sure has.

BTW, I’m a little hesitant to ask this, but does mad mama have only one leg?

  5. It’s probably a feisty little tabby on the sofa…this is how he sees himself! Gotta love cattitude!

I can’t decide if he’s a little cat with a big attitude or a messy ‘king of the house’ who has ensconced himself in front of the TV, much to the annoyance of his tidy, long suffering wife!
