Nola At The Club, oil on canvas, 9"x12".  Sold.

Nola appears to be a woman of style and substance.  And it was great fun to paint a capelet.

Love the capelet. Do you ever paint things and then try to have people replicate them for you? This capelet should be first on the list.

  2. This is a gorgeous painting–perspective, shading, colors, all of it. That capelet is a masterpiece with the way it drapes and the light refecting off the spangles. Also really like the b&w/sepia pix on the wall behind Nola. Great touch.

On a more frivolous note–look at that ‘do! Wish I could get my hair like that.

  3. I wish I could get my hair to do that too. I have no abilities in the hairdressing department- I can barely pull my hair back into a ponytail without something sticking out.

Oh, and I do wish I had that capelet. I based it on a vintage one I saw in a magazine.
