  2. I really think the moth makes the whole painting. There is something earthy, secretive, and feminine about moths that sums up the story in this glorious work.

  3. Thanks John! I don’t paint from life (usually). I often pose for many of my figurative pieces and take a photo and work from the photo for positioning as well as several other references torn out of magazines etc- I owe a lot to Lefebvre for this one.
